A beautiful handmade turquoise and aquamarine blue ceramic planter with golden-bronze rim.
It was thrown on the pottery wheel from white earthenware clay, fired first at 1130 C for durability and strength, then glazed with a combination of layered glazes and re-fired at 1040 C.
The surface is smooth and shiny, and the colour is reminiscent of the sea.
The cobalt blue 'lifeline' running across the surface is like a heartbeat.
