"Rain 1" - large tactile bowl

A beautiful tactile turquoise blue large bowl, perfect as an ornament or a statement centerpiece for your coffee table!
It was thrown on the pottery wheel from white earthenware clay, then hand decorated with clay dots/ tiny spikes for added texture. The bowl was then first bisque fired at 1125C degree (cone 01), then a combination of layered blue glazes and cobalt oxide were applied and fired again at 1040 C.
The decoration and colours of the bowl reflect rain water trickling down on a window pane, as well as the luxurious colours and approach of the art nouveau style. .

Hand wash only. Please be aware that due to the nature of the textured decoration the bowl might be slightly sharp to the touch.
