Beautiful tactile small trinket bowls, thrown on the pottery wheel then hand decorated with individually applied clay dots (tiny spikes) for texture and interest. The bowls were made from white earthenware clay initially bisque fired at 1000 C, then glazed with shiny white glaze and mirror-black glaze-speckles, before a second kiln firing at 1120 C. They are perfect as an ornament, for keeping jewellery, a small plant or even a tea-light.
