Beautiful tactile handmade turquoise blue bowl with hand decorated patterns and textures.
The bowl was thrown on the pottery wheel from white earthenware clay, then decorated with carved out holes and clay dots for added texture and pattern.
It was first fired at 1125 C for durability and strength, then glazed with a combination of layered glazes and cobalt oxide before being re-fired at 1040 C.
It is inspired by the beautiful embellishments of the art nouveau style and the colours of the sea.
