A beautiful turquoise and teal blue bowl, hand carved with flowers and clay dots added for texture.
It was thrown on the pottery wheel from white earthenware clay, then first bisque fired at 1125C degree (cone 01), then a combination of layered blue glazes and cobalt oxide were applied and fired again at 1040 C.
The decoration and colours of the bowl reflect my love of the sea, as well as the luxurious colours and approach of the art nouveau style. .
