Beautiful tactile jade green bowl with green leaf relief decorations and a golden bronze rim.
It was thrown on the pottery wheel then hand decorated with individually applied relief work (leaves, clay dots) for texture and interest.
The bowl was made from white earthenware clay initially bisque fired at 1125C (Cone 02), then glazed with shiny jade green and golden bronze glazes to create a highly decorative piece. It is inspired by the beautiful embellishments of the art nouveau style and the calming colour of green.
